TabTrade - Is It Worth Opening an Account

Tab Trade — The Short Version

TabTrade opened in March 2026. Trading platform based in Saint Lucia, regulated by the FSRA. The guy behind it is Benjamin Boulter. Before this, he was in leadership at BlackBull Markets, an New Zealand-regulated broker.

That last detail is relevant. It suggests the founder knows how a proper broker operates. Does not guarantee anything. Still preferable to someone with no brokerage experience.

The broker opened with Equinix LD4/LD5 connectivity. Same facilities institutional desks use. The typical new launch focuses on ads and sign-up promos. TabTrade did the opposite. Unusual for a new broker.

Market coverage: FX, stock indices, gold, silver, commodities, shares, crypto, ETFs. 1,000+. For something this new, the breadth is broad.

The Software

You get: MT5, cTrader by Spotware, and web trading. Both MT5 and cTrader from a single account. Many only give you one or the other. Having both makes a difference. Use whichever you prefer.

MetaTrader 5 is the default. Full charting, Expert Advisors, massive community. If you know MetaTrader before, you know exactly what you are getting.

cTrader is the cleaner option. Cleaner order book. Faster charting. cBot support. Many people prefer it after comparing.

Direct FIX connectivity is available for algo traders but is only on the VIP account ($25,000 deposit). TradingView charting is reportedly on the roadmap. That will be a good addition once it is live.

Costs

Three account types: Standard, Edge, VIP.

Standard account. 1.0 pip spreads. Zero commission. Straightforward. No minimum deposit. Works for beginners.

Edge account. True raw pricing from 0.0 pips on average. Commission of $3.50 each way. All-in: spread plus $7 per lot round-turn. On liquid pairs, the actual interbank spread is frequently under 0.2 pips. Meaning your real cost can be below 0.5 pips. That is good for a broker with no minimum deposit. Most platforms that have spreads this tight ask for $500 or $1,000 upfront. TabTrade has no minimum.

VIP account. $25,000 minimum. FIX API, execution under 20ms, custom pricing. Not something typical accounts. Do not worry about it unless you run serious volume.

How Fast Are the Fills

The speed is the thing Tab Trade actually does something different. Equinix data centres. Execution below 30 milliseconds on Edge. Below 20ms on VIP. That is proper execution targets. Most retail brokers run a much wider range.

Should you care? If you scalp, yes. The gap between a 30ms fill and a 200ms fill is catching the move or missing it. If you hold positions longer, it matters less. The point is the setup is serious. That says something about priorities.

Combine that execution speed with raw spreads at $3.50 per side and what you get is strong. Few brokers at this price point offer execution like this.

Regulation

This is the part that matters. The broker is under the FSRA in Saint Lucia. That is outside tier-1 jurisdiction. No CySEC. No government-backed safety net. If the lack of tier-1 regulation makes you uncomfortable, look elsewhere. Lots of tier-1 alternatives out there.

But. Benjamin Boulter spent years at BlackBull Markets, an FMA-regulated broker. The server placement costs real money. Scam brokers do not bother with proper execution infrastructure. This does not guarantee anything. It should factor into your decision.

The trade-off: you give up tier-1 protection. What you get instead: 1:1000 leverage, cheap spreads, no minimum deposit, Equinix execution. Whether the trade-off makes sense depends on you.

Welcome Offer

TabTrade runs a deposit bonus of up to two thousand dollars. Standard sign-up bonus. You deposit, the broker credit extra capital. Usual conditions attached: minimum lots traded before the bonus becomes withdrawable. Read the conditions before funding.
